To find the companies that just raised, run Cargo’s theirStack.searchCompanies with a last-funding-date floor and the stages you sell to: it returns each company with its stage, last round date and amount, and investors, at 0.5 credits a company. To check funding for accounts you already have, run enrichCrm.getFunding over their domains at 1 credit each.
These are two different go-to-market jobs. The first is a market search: who in my segment raised a Series A since July? The second is an account lookup: which of my 50 tier-A accounts raised recently, and from whom? The track-funding-rounds skill covers the lookup; the market search is below it.
What it costs, from the code #
| Action | Credits | Billed when |
|---|---|---|
theirStack.searchCompanies | 0.5 per company returned | Per company; a search that returns none costs 0 |
enrichCrm.getFunding | 1 per domain | Every domain checked, including “no funding data” |
The second line is the one to plan around: enrichCrm.getFunding bills a domain with no funding on record the same as one with five rounds. Run it on the accounts you would act on, not on a raw list.
Run it #
1. Install and sign in
npm install -g @cargo-ai/cli
cargo-ai login --email you@company.com # sends a code
cargo-ai login --email you@company.com --code 123456 # creates the account on first use
No browser step, so a coding agent can run this itself. A new account starts with 100 free credits and no card.
2. Find the companies that just raised
cargo-ai orchestration action execute \
--action '{"kind":"connector","integrationSlug":"theirStack","actionSlug":"searchCompanies"}' \
--data '{
"fields": {
"last_funding_round_date_gte": "2026-07-01",
"funding_stage_or": ["series_a", "series_b"],
"company_country_code_or": ["US"],
"min_employee_count": 20,
"max_employee_count": 500
},
"limit": 20
}' \
--wait-until-finished
The filters sit under fields. funding_stage_or takes values such as seed, series_a, series_b, series_c, private_equity or debt_financing. Other funding filters: last_funding_round_date_lte, min_funding_usd and max_funding_usd (total raised), and company_investors_or to keep one investor’s companies. limit defaults to 10 and goes up to 500 per call, and it is the bill: 20 companies is 10 credits.
3. Check funding for accounts you already have
cargo-ai orchestration action execute-batch \
--action '{"kind":"connector","integrationSlug":"enrichCrm","actionSlug":"getFunding"}' \
--records '[{"domain":"acme.com"},{"domain":"globex.com"}]' \
--limit 5 --wait-until-finished
--limit 5 pilots the first five domains. Drop it for the full list, then fetch results with cargo-ai orchestration batch download --uuid <batch uuid>.
What comes back #
| Action | Fields |
|---|---|
theirStack.searchCompanies | name, domain, funding_stage, last_funding_round_date, last_funding_round_amount_readable, total_funding_usd, investors |
enrichCrm.getFunding | funding (each round), totalFunding, lastFundingType, lastFundingDate, investors |
What to do with a fresh round #
A new round means a budget and, usually, new hires in the teams the money is for. Pair it with who to reach: find every portfolio company of an investor, then the people inside shows the people search that follows a company list. A funding round is also a signal with a shelf life; how long a buying signal is worth covers setting the window.
Frequently asked questions #
Run theirStack.searchCompanies with fields.last_funding_round_date_gte set to the date 90 days ago, in YYYY-MM-DD format, plus the stages, sizes and countries you sell to. Each company returned costs 0.5 credits.
Yes, for enrichCrm.getFunding: it bills 1 credit per domain checked, with or without funding on record. theirStack.searchCompanies bills only the companies it returns.
No. Unless you connect your own key, Cargo calls the provider on Cargo’s key and bills the action’s credits.
