What is Intent data?

Intent data is a signal that an account may be researching a purchase, inferred from behaviour such as content consumption, review-site activity or search patterns. It is probabilistic: it suggests an account is in market, and it does not tell you who is buying or when.

First-party intent, from your own site and product, is far stronger than third-party intent bought from a panel, and teams routinely act on the weaker one because it arrives pre-packaged.

Intent is an input to prioritisation rather than a reason to contact someone. Treated as a trigger on its own it produces outreach that references research the recipient never did.
